The Developing Effective Public-Private Partnerships Symposium will be held on 11-13 August 2008 in Singapore.

The symposium will facilitate the exchange of ideas among APEC economies on innovative public-private partnerships (PPPs) to address workforce challenges in the 21st Century global economy. It will focus on good practice examples of PPPs in implementing labour market and welfare policies and programs in APEC economies.

Topics to be discussed at the symposium will focus on PPP strategies for meeting skills and labour shortages, the use of PPPs in delivery of employment services, and lessons learned from successful models.
